2 ounces vodka
2 ounces cold brew concentrate (or espresso)
1/2 ounce cardamom spice simple syrup (store-bought or see recipe below)
In a cocktail shaker, add ice, vodka, cold brew concentrate, and cardamom simple syrup. Shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into a martini or coupe glass. Garnish with a sprinkle of cardamom or freshly ground black pepper.

1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp ground cardamom (or cardamom pods)
10 black peppercorns (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-high. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Let cool to room temperature and strain with a fine mesh strainer. Store in refrigerator until ready to use.
